School Board
The Role of Our Board
As a non-profit international school, our board plays a crucial role in guiding TIS’s strategic direction. We work closely with school leadership to ensure TIS continues to provide exceptional education, while maintaining financial stability and adhering to our Purpose, (Challenge, Explore, Connect). It’s important to note that our board consists of 11 dedicated parent volunteers who are committed to the success and growth of our school community.
Responsibilities of the TIS Board
The board comprises of TIS parents and guardians volunteering their leadership to oversee the following key areas:
- Strategic Planning – The Board sets, assesses, and revises TIS’s Purpose and strategic direction.
- Finance – With a focus on fiscal stewardship, the Board reviews and approves the annual budget and financial statements.
- Policy Formulation and Adoption – The Board crafts and endorses school policies, aided by the school’s leadership team.
- Personnel – The Board hires, evaluates, and mentors the director. While it focuses on top-level decisions, day-to-day school management, and other personnel matters are entrusted to the director alongside the leadership, faculty, and staff.
Participation in the TIS School Board
