Parents, teachers, students and other members of the Tashkent International School community are invited to attend the Grade 10 Personal Project Exhibition on Wednesday, February 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the MPR. The evening will also include refreshments and a student-produced video about the process the students have gone through while completing the Personal Project.
The exhibition will remain open through the morning of Thursday, February 26 for students, teachers and classes to view the projects.
The Personal Project is a challenging academic exercise where students in grade 10 pick a subject/topic based on an MYP Global Context, research their idea, create a product of their choice based on their subject and then write a final report. It is the culminating project of the Middle Years Programme.
Some projects this year included creating an original piece of art, making a movie trailer, authoring a blog reflecting on politics and current events, writing a short story, creating an app for a smartphone, and designing and creating a clothing line.
Please join us on Wednesday, February 25 for the Personal Project Exhibition and help us cheer on these students for their months of hard work. Note: February 25 is a professional development half day, but grade 10 students will need to stay at school throughout the afternoon to help set up the exhibition.
