The Street of Crocodiles, the fall 2014 secondary drama production at Tashkent International School, opened on Thursday, November 20 in the Black Box Theatre at TIS. The show continues on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22.
Originally published in 1934, the collection of stories by Bruno Schulz, which comprises The Street of Crocodiles, is an extraordinary assemblage of hauntingly beautiful recollections of neighborhoods, times, moments and experiences, bound together in the imagination of his autobiographical narrator, Joseph. The resulting compilation brings together Joseph’s mental recollections of his life in Drohobych (then Poland, now part of Ukraine) and the disturbing memories of his father’s declining mental health.
Tickets for The Street of Crocodiles are now available in the TIS office before and after school and during breaks/lunch.
