In September, Tashkent International School students in grades 3-5 took the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) test. The MAP test assesses student growth over the course of an academic year in reading and mathematics. In order to target student learning, teachers will be setting academic goals with students based upon results from the fall testing. As partners in learning, TIS parents will play a key role in helping students meet these goals.
MAP testing results will go home after the fall holiday (classes resume Tuesday, October 14). A parent meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 22 at 8:30 a.m. in the MPR to explain the results and outline educational practices to help parents work with students at home. Please visit the Parent Resources section of the TIS Website under the Elementary pull-down menu for more information about MAP testing and resources to assist your child.
