Grade 12 Final IB Exams Begin May 5

Final International Baccalaureate exams for the Grade 12 students at Tashkent International School begin Monday, May 5. For a full schedule, visit this link: TIS IB Exams 2014. This document includes information about the actual start and finish times of the various exams. The students have already received a copy of their individualized schedule in terms of date and session for each exam.

On each day, students are expected to be present in the exam venue at least 10 minutes before the start of the exam.

Depending on the subject, they should carry relevant materials and stationery in a clear plastic bag. It is also worth checking the guidelines on the use of calculators for each exam. All regular school school rules are applicable during the exam period. The IB also had a code of conduct all students. Click on the link for information – Code of Conduct.

As always, the school would like to urge the students to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle before and during this period. This includes a healthy diet, adequate sleep and rest.

Request for Results to be Sent to UniversitiesTo find out more about the service of directly making an IB candidate’s results available to their chosen universities provided by the IB, click here.  This service is available free of charge for the first six universities of which no more than one is from the United States and no more than one from Canada , as long as the relevant deadlines are met.

Last Day of Exams
All grade 12 students are requested to arrange a short meeting (about 10-15 minutes) with Arpita Tyagi, DP coordinator, on the last day of their exams. At this meeting, she will be hand out the checkout forms that need to be completed before graduation on May 24. Students will also be requested to participate in a brief interview to provide feedback regarding the administration of the IB programme at TIS and how it can be improved for the future.

The graduation ceremony for the class of 2014 is scheduled for Saturday, May 24. More information regarding this will be sent soon to graduates and parents.
