Friday, March 14 was a special day of fun math activities for middle schoolers at Tashkent International School. To celebrate Pi Day (3.14), the math department had several things planned, including a pie baking contest and pi reciting contest.
The fun began after recess in the MPR, where students broke into mixed-grade teams for the rest of the morning. Teams then worked together to complete a variety of tasks, both indoors and outdoors.
Pi Day concluded with a pi-reciting contest and the announcement of the winner of the pie baking contest. Special t-shirts for the day were available from Youth Enterprise.
