On Thursday, January 30, the TIS community came out in force to experience what has become one of the most popular charity events at the school – the Project 3580 dance competition.
Titled So You Think You Can Dance?, the event featured fifteen registered couples including staff and student dance teams, plus a surprise teacher team showing off their talents to “What Does the Fox Say?”
This year’s panel of celebrity judges included Andrew “Sparkles!” Buckman, David “Let My People Go” Henry, Kristen “I Love Everything!” DiMatteo and Brett “I Hate Everything” DiMatteo. They had a tough job, watching and judging all the talented dancers, but in the end, they chose their winners:

Project 3580 is a student-led charity based in the United Kingdom. In 2012, TIS became the first international school member. The support raised by the students in Project 3580 will allow TIS to sponsor the refurbishing of a whole classroom in the Kissi Town refugee camp in Waterloo, Sierra Leone. This is a sustainable charity project and the support will help to gather resources in country and supply wages/contracts for local carpenters to do the work.
Four students and two teachers from TIS will travel to Sierra Leone this year to give hands-on help to the Project 3580 work in Kissi Town. Watch this website for further updates and photos after the trip.
