Students in grade 10 have worked hard this year creating their Personal Projects, the culminating project in the Middle Years Programme. On Wednesday, February 26 they will have a chance to debut their hard work.
Parents, students and other members of the TIS community are invited to attend the Personal Project Exhibition on Wednesday, February 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the MPR. The evening will begin with a welcome presentation followed by personal stories from students about their projects and the process they went through. Refreshments will be served.
The exhibition will remain open through the morning of Thursday, February 27 for students, teachers and classes to view the projects.
The Personal Project is a challenging academic exercise where students in grade 10 pick a subject/topic based on the MYP Areas of Interaction, research their idea, create a product of their choice based on their subject and then write a final report.
Some projects this year included learning how to play bass guitar and then staging a performance, creating travel brochures for popular Uzbek cities, designing a clothing line and sewing a sample piece, and writing and publishing a book.
Please join us on Wednesday, February 26 for the Personal Project Exhibition and help us cheer on these students for their months of hard work.
Note: February 26 is a professional development half day but grade 10 students will need to stay at school throughout the afternoon to help set up the exhibition.
