Just before the students at Tashkent International School left for the winter holiday on Friday, December 13, the children in grade 3 had a chance to celebrate with a real life Polar Express.
To get in the spirit, students and teachers wore pajamas and went outside and felt the cold air, waiting for the conductors to invite them aboard. Ms. Maria Ramilo, grade 3 teacher, donned a conductor’s hat and mustache to serve hot chocolate.
The Polar Express is a classic children’s story. Watching the children eagerly reenact the tale was a fun way to enjoy the Friday before the winter holiday.
