“A New World” Takes the Stage This Week at TIS

The original drama, A New World, written by TIS grade 12 student Otabek Nazarov, elementary drama teacher Durin Cazac and the elementary drama club, will debut on Thursday, December 5 and Friday, December 6 at 5 p.m. The play will be presented in the Black Box Theatre.

Tickets are currently available in the school office before and after school. Seating is limited.

Students in the elementary drama after-school activity did a really wonderful work over the past weeks as they collaborated to create A New World. They are excited about the creative journey that has been undertaken.

All students in grades 1 through 5 who were unable to join the drama club were given the opportunity to be a part of the production when after-school activities finished in November, which resulted in the involvement of a large group of students.

Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to help with creating costumes, finding materials, creating props, and assisting with make-up on performance nights. The children are doing wonderful work; thank you for supporting their involvement in the arts. We look forward to welcoming you on at 5 p.m. on December 5 and 6 in the Black Box.
