Results of the MAP tests given to students in grades 3 through 5 at Tashkent International School will be discussed and explained at a parent meeting on Thursday, October 24 at 3:30 p.m. in the MPR. During the meeting, teachers will also outline educational practices to help parents work with students at home.
TIS students took the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) test in September. The MAP test assesses student growth over the course of an academic year in reading and mathematics. In order to target student learning, teachers will set academic goals with students based upon results from the fall testing. As partners in learning, parents will play a key role in helping students meet these goals. MAP testing results will go home within the next week.
Elementary parents are encouraged to join Elementary Principal Kristen DiMatteo and other elementary teachers us on Thursday, October 24 to learn more about MAP and ask any questions they may have.
