Warmer weather means more outdoor sports at Tashkent International School. The campus is busy with activity as students prepare for upcoming sports events.
Elementary/Middle School Football Tournament – Saturday, April 20; Saturday, May 18
Students in grades 4 through 7 have been practicing hard for the boys’ and girls’ football tournament this weekend and again on May 18 at TIS. More than 70 students are participating on these teams, practicing two times a week. The teams are coached by older student athletes from TIS. The tournaments will include the TIS teams as well as boys’ and girls’ teams from the local community. Come out on April 20 and May 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to cheer on our young players. Go Owls!
Track & Field – May 11 and 12
The secondary track and field team has attracted more than 70 students in grades 6 – 12 who train three to five times a week in preparation for the third-annual track and field meet in May. A few local schools have been invited to participate in this event. Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12 and come out to support our track and field athletes. The meet will be held at a stadium off campus. More information to follow.
