Movie Night Dec. 7 for Middle School

Attention students in grades 6, 7 and 8 – start your weekend with some fun by attending the Middle School STUCO Movie Night on Friday, Dec. 7! The event will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. What movie will be shown? That part is still a holiday surprise, but it is guaranteed to be fun (and appropriate for middle school students)!

Along with the Movie Night, the Middle School STUCO has other events planned for the holiday season.

On Fridays after school, the STUCO kids are selling hot chocolate under the trees to celebrate the start of the weekend while also chasing off the winter chill. The hot chocolate is available to anyone at TIS – you don’t have to be in middle school to enjoy! One cup is 1,500 soum. Money raised through the hot chocolate sales will go to help support STUCO charities (still to be decided).

The students are also planning a fun Secret Santa event among the students in grades 6, 7 and 8. Some teachers are also getting involved. For one week before winter break – Dec. 10 through Dec. 14 – each student participating will secretly send fun notes and give treats to their “secret” person. At the end of the week, all Secret Santas will be revealed so everyone can see who has been bringing them surprises all week.

The Middle School STUCO is a new student council this school year. The goal is to organize events specifically geared for students in grades 6, 7 and 8. In the fall, STUCO organized an open gym night. A second open gym night is planned for January when students return from winter break.
