TIS Girls Play in League Championships This Weekend

Both the TIS girls’ junior varsity and varsity teams finished the league standings in first place after the last regular-season games on Saturday, Oct. 27. The JV team beat TAPOiCH 5-0, ending the season with two wins, one tie and zero losses with a total of four league points.
The girls’ varsity ended with nine league points after besting TAPOiCH 3-0 on Saturday, Oct. 27. Their season included three wins and no losses or ties.
The girls will kick off the league championship round on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 11:30 a.m. with the JV once again facing TAPOiCH. The varsity girls will follow suit at 2:20 p.m. against TAPOiCH.
The weekend will conclude on Sunday, Nov. 4 with the JV consolation final at 10 a.m., the JV final at 11:15 a.m. and the JV awards at 12:30 p.m. The varsity girls will take over at 12:45 p.m. with the varsity consolation final, followed by the varsity final at 2 p.m. and the varsity awards at 3:15 p.m.
The boys’ championship games will take place Saturday, Nov. 10 and Sunday, Nov. 11. The TIS boys also finished on top after their Oct. 27 games. The JV boys beat School #50 with a final score of 15-1. The varsity boys won on forfeit after Mirzu-Ulugbek was disqualified from the league.
